There are many different definitions for the terms health and wellness. At the Total Health and Wellness Center of Taos we believe that these terms refer to much more than just the absence of illness. We believe that health and wellness refer to intellectual, physical, and spiritual harmony and to a sense of well-being.

We believe that knowledge is important to the prevention and treatment of disease. It is for this reason that we are committed to our role as a resource for accurate and current information upon which you can base your health-care decisions. This is why we provide total lipid profiles, blood pressure monitoring, current vaccine recommendations, and the wide range of clinical and information services that we offer.

We believe a major goal of health maintenance and treatment of disease is to alleviate physical discomfort and increase the sense of well-being. It is for this reason that we offer patient education and consultations for diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, and virtually any other disease state. We want you to derive the maximum benefit from your efforts and your treatments while minimizing the risk of side-effects and adverse reactions.

We believe that your belief in treatments and prevention measures is important to their success. That is why we offer information about a number of treatment and prevention approaches. We strive to stay current with medical treatments as well as nutritional, complementary, and holistic treatment and prevention information so that we can offer you safe and effective choices that fit your preferred approaches to health.

We believe that far too many resources, physical and economic, are used in the treatment of illness in our current health care system. We believe that part of the solution is to make more resources available for those who are critically ill and most needy by preventing illness to the greatest degree possible. We are dedicated to providing Taos and the surrounding areas the greatest possibility of maintaining health with the goal of reducing the demands on our local health care systems.

For years now the Total Health and Wellness Center of Taos has been a small part of the services offered at Taos Pharmacy. We are now ready to make the Total Health and Wellness Center of Taos a separate entity dedicated solely to health maintenance and disease prevention. Our goals are to help you stay healthy, to maximize the results of your treatments during illness, and to improve your sense of well-being. Our commitment is to your health.
