About 34 million Americans serve as volunteer caregivers for other adults, usually elderly relatives. Most of these adults are cared for at home. The need for home health care products and support grows daily. A recent USA TODAY / Gallup poll of baby boomers found that 41% who have a living parent are providing personal care, financial help or both to their parents. Of those not providing care currently, 37% expect to do so in the future. To help meet this growing need, Taos Pharmacy has expanded its home health care department. We have occupied suite D at Piñon Plaza and committed it entirely to home health care products. We call our new endeavor TAOS PHARMACY HOME HEALTH PLUS.

We will carry a full line of home health care products such as:

BATHROOM SAFETY PRODUCTS—Handrails, raised toilet seats, bath benches, and transfer benches to reduce the risk of falls in the bathroom and make it easier to bathe or shower.

AMBULATORY AIDS—Walkers, canes, crutches and lift chairs to help maintain independence and mobility.

SICKROOM SUPPLIES—Bedrails, bedside commodes, mattress liners, and adult diapers to ease care for the ill.

HEALTH MONITORING EQUIPMENT—Blood pressure monitors, oximeters, and blood glucose meters to monitor health and disease therapy.

EXERCISE AND REHABILITATION EQUIPMENT—Exercise balls, bands, and tubing, mats, weights, and physical therapy aids to help maintain strength and balance.

ANTI-EMBOLISM AND SUPPORT STOCKINGS—Compression stockings that help reduce the risk of blood clot formation.

BRACES AND SUPPORTS—Braces and supports to ease joint and muscle pain and help with mobility.
