Try New Gloves in a Bottle® for Problem Skin
Column #41, 10/15/01
by Jake Mossman, Owner of Taos Pharmacy

We are happy to announce a new product that we feel will be beneficial for many problem skin conditions. Gloves in a Bottle® works like an invisible pair of gloves to reduce natural oil and moisture loss and allow the skin to heal itself. It helps the outer layer of skin to retain its natural oils and moisturizers that protect the deeper layers of skin. This helps skin stay soft and supple

The outer layer of skin is made basically of dead skin cells, which protect the delicate living cells of the deeper layers of skin. This outer layer needs to stay moisturized to protect these deeper layers. Natural oils are produced to retain water in the outer layers of skin. These oils also repel irritants from the skin. Regular washing with soap or exposure to chemicals can remove these protective oils.

Skin lotions replace natural oils with artificial ones. These offer temporary relief. Lotions do not stay in place for a sufficient length of time to allow the skin to heal. In some cases, regular use of lotions can actually cause the skin to produce less natural oils and increase skin irritation. Fragrances and chemicals in lotion may actually irritate some skin.

Gloves in a Bottle® forms a bond with dead skin cells to act as an invisible pair of gloves. This works to retain natural oils and moisture. Deeper layers of skin stay soft and supple. As dry surface skin is replaced with softer skin, skin conditions heal.

Gloves in a Bottle® is a non-sticky, non-greasy lotion that is quickly absorbed into the skin. It allows the skin to breathe while preventing dirt and grime from entering the skin and retaining natural oils. It does not wash off and comes off naturally in about four hours with dead skin cells as they are shed. It works to prevent dry, cracked skin.

Try Gloves in a Bottle® for your problem skin. It is widely used by health care professionals who must repeatedly wash their hands to protect them from stripping the natural oils. It is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and completely safe.
