An evolution has been occurring at Taos Pharmacy over the past two years. We have focused our business on health care. If you have been in, you may have noticed less food, sundry, and seasonal products displayed. In their place we have increased our home health, first aid, and braces/supports inventories. If you haven't been in lately, we invite you to come see the changes.

Healthcare is our business. We can help with most of your health care needs. Inventory is only part of our business. What makes Taos Pharmacy different from the other stores is the availability of staff trained to help you.

Mark Abeyta is a trained home health care specialist with over 20 years experience in the retail pharmacy business. Mark has a number of home health and medical supply sources available to him that allows him to find almost anything you might need. He has attended training on the use of much of the equipment.

Anna Marie Martinez is our insurance billing specialist. Anna coordinates insurance billing for Taos Pharmacy. She can help simplify the confusing world of coverage, deductibles, and claims submission for you. Not only is Anna knowledgeable about insurance billing, she is a warm and caring person that will help you with a smile on her face.

Becky Mossman is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and over 15 years of hospital and clinical experience. Becky is trained in patient education and patient care. She can help you improve your self care or care for a loved one. Becky always finishes with a laugh and a smile, continuing the long tradition of compassionate care that honors the nursing profession.

Our pharmacists, Gail Boles and Jake Mossman are trained to focus on patient care beyond dispensing prescriptions. They can help answer questions and offer recommendations for home monitoring, the care of minor injuries, use of braces and supports, and a variety of other home health questions. They are compounding specialists and can offer suggestions to medication delivery problems. Need a medication for someone who cannot swallow? Ask our pharmacists, they may be able to offer the medication in a cream absorbed through the skin or a suppository. They are trained in chronic pain management. They are trained in nutritional supplementation. They pride themselves at looking at the patient and their care as a whole.

In addition to our trained staff we carry or can acquire in 24 hours a large selection of blood glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, asthma care supplies, TENS unit supplies, bathroom safety products, walkers, canes, adult absorbent undergarments, bed liners, and most anything you might need for home health care.
